University of the Incarnate Word Athletics

2017 (Junior): Appeared in 11 matches and 25 sets in her junior season. Finished with 32 kills and 11 total blocks while posting a .076 attack percentage for the year. Enjoyed a season-best 12 kill performance against Texas Southern, hitting .241. Achieved 100 career kills against McNeese. 

2016 (Sophomore): Slaughter started in 23 of the 29 matches she appeared in during the season. The outside hitter had 69 kills for the season. Defensively, she 6 solo blocks and 15 assisted. Slaughter had a season-high of five kills against Little Rock, Abilene Christian and HBU. 

2015 (Freshman): Slaughter played in 10 matches including one start as an outside hitter. She had eight kills for the season and she had two digs and five assisted blocks. Slaughter's best match came against Utah Valley where she had five kills and four assisted blocks.

High School:  Slaughter earned three letters in volleyball at Madison High School.  She was a three-year starter earning second team all-district honors as a junior and first team honors as a senior.  She was the MySA Player of the Week on November 4, 2013.  She was second in the district in blocks as a junior.  She was a two-time academic all-district selection and was named to the academic all-State team as a senior.  She was picked to play in the TGCA All-Star game.  She led Madison to their first playoff appearance in 13 years as a junior and back again as a senior.  She won the National Science Award in 2013 and graduated summa cum laude.  She was a member of the National Honors Society and Peer Assistant Leaders (PALS).

Personal:  Slaughter is the daughter of Todd and Sherri Slaughter and is undecided on her field of study.  She has two sisters, Lauren and Jillian.  Lauren plays volleyball at St. Mary's.  She was born on March 1, 1997.
