Freshman: A two-time District MVP, Perez was the District 1-5A Newcomer of the Year in 2016 after earning all-city second team honors...as a junior, she was the Texas Sports Writers' Association Honorable Mention All-State, while she was the All-City Hitter of the Year and earned a spot on the Texas Girls Coaches' Association All-Star Team as a senior....she also lettered in varsity track...in the classroom, Perez was named the El Paso High School Most Outstanding Biology and Mathematics student and was twice named Most Outstanding Foreign Language student...she graduated in the top two percent of her class and was a National Honor Society officer, All-EPHS Girl candidate, Academic All-District, Academic All-State, and AP Scholar. Along with the NHS, she was a member of Student Council, SHS, UIL Science Team, Class Government, Our Lady of Assumption Youth Group, Orchestra STEM Club, and National History Day.

Personal: The daughter of Michael and Kristin, Perez is majoring in biology...she has two brothers, Seth and Nathan...her father, uncle, and aunt, all played college sports...she was born on Feb. 9, 2000, in El Paso, Texas.
