Jenny Banse

After serving as a graduate assistant coach for two years with the Cardinals, Banse is entering her third season with the program.  She serves as the team’s director of operations.
    
Prior to coming to UIW she played collegiately at Texas A&M and one year of professional volleyball in Europe for the ATSC Sparkasse Wildcats Klagenfurt, a member of the Austrian Volleyball Federation in Klagenfurt, Austria.
    
A product of San Antonio’s Churchill High School, she received her bachelor’s degree in allied health at Texas A&M University.  With the Aggies she was an AVCA Honorable Mention All-American as a senior.  She also was first team All-Big 12 after leading the team to a berth in the NCAA regional semifinals.  She averaged 3.42 kills per set and posted a .272 hitting percentage in 2008.
    
She was named Texas A&M’s Most Improved Player in 2007 and also earned Academic All-Big 12 Second Team honors the same season.
    
In addition to her work at UIW she is an assistant coach for the Alamo Volleyball Association’s 15 Kaepa Premier squad.
    
While in high school she was TCGA all-state twice and was a two-time lonestarvolleyball.com All-Texas player.  Inaddition she was named all-district four times and all-city four times.  As a senior, she was a PrepVolleyball All-American and a member of Volleyball Magazine’s Fab 50 team.  She also earned the honor of playing in the TCGA state all-star game.
