Southland Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll

2015 (Junior):  Martin played in 23 games, including five appearances as a pinch runner.  He went 2-for-4 with a double and a run scored against Houston Baptist.  He had three hits and stole a pair of bases in the final two games at Sam Houston State.  Defensively, he played the majority of the time in centerfield.  He was named to the Southland Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll.

Previous: Martin attended New Mexico Junior College for two years, where he played baseball. His team made it to regionals in both years and he was on the president's list. 

High School: Martin played baseball at Andrews High School.  He was a three-time first team all-district player who earned honorable mention All-State honors as a junior and third team All-State honors as a senior.  He made it to the playoffs three years and in his senior year his team reached the regional final.  His team won a pair of district titles.  He was on honor roll and graduated in the top 10 percent of his class.

Personal:  Martin is the son of Larry and Stephanie Martin and is studying engineering.  He has four siblings; Larry, Lance, CJ and Jordan.  He was born on October 27, 1993.  His brother played at Texas A&M and his father played at University of Houston.
