University of the Incarnate Word Athletics

2015 (Junior): Noriega once again was a vital part to the Cardinals season in 2015. She played in 15 games and started in 11 of them, inlcuding the three team shutouts of the season. She helped the Cardinals win the UTRGV tournament and she was named to the All-Tournament team after winning both games 1-0. She totaled 758 minutes, giving her a career total of 3846.

2014 (Sophomore): Noriega had another solid season in the defense for the Cardinals and contributed to a backline that posted three shutouts. Honing in on her defensive attributes, she played 17 out of a total 19 games and made 15 starts at left back. She played a total of 1362 minutes, including all 90 minutes in seven matches.  She was one of the key cogs on a back line that allowed just three goals over the final five matches of the season.

2013 (Freshman): In her first year at UIW, Noriega became a vital part of the Cardinals backline. She started in all 19 games of the season and in addition to helping hold up the defense she also scored two goals. Her first goal came in a 6-0 win against Texas A&M-International after she chipped a deflected ball over the keepers head to open up the scoring with the first goal of the game.  She played the second most minutes on the team behind only senior central defender Sarah Parker.

High School: Noriega was on the cross country, soccer and track teams at Brandeis High School. She was an honorable mention all-district choice as a freshman and took home first team honors in her final three years. She earned first team all-region and was the District Defensive MVP as a senior. She was the team MVP in cross country and was voted the Brandeis Athlete of the Year as a senior. She led the soccer team to three District titles.

Personal: Noriega is the daughter of Michael and Patricia Noriega and is studying business administration. She has three brothers; Ethan, Evan and Patric. She was born on October 17, 1994.
