University of the Incarnate Word Athletics

2012 (Sophomore):  Latu was a super-sub off the bench appearing in 16 games for the Cardinals.  She tallied four goals on the season in only 12 shots.  She scored each time the team played Eastern New Mexico.  Her second half goal at ENMU pulled the UIW to within a 2-1 margin.  In the return game at home, she scored in the 42nd minute to give the team a 1-0 lead en route to a 2-1 victory.

2011 (Freshman):  Latu was a productive offensive player off the bench for the majority of the season, but did receive five starting appearances.  She was one of only four players to score more than one goal on the season.  She scored in her first career game off a header in a 4-0 win over Washburn.  She also picked up her first career assist in the same match.  She added her second goal of the season in the team’s second game, a 2-1 overtime win at Texas A&M-International.

High School:  Latu earned first team all-district, all-region and all-state honors at Lady Bird Johnson High School.  She also played basketball.  As a senior, she helped lead the soccer squad to a state tournament appearance.

Personal:  Latu is the daughter of Joseph and Sandra Latu and is studying rehabilitative science.  She has three siblings; Joseph Latu, Jr., Leviticus Latu and Sisu Latu.  She was born on June 11, 1993.
