Katie Bittner joined the University of the Incarnate Word as the assistant coach for the women’s soccer program in May of 2021.
Prior to UIW, Bittner was the Graduate Assistant for Ohio Dominican University (ODU) in Columbus Ohio. During her time at ODU, she specialized in team practices, analyzing film, travel, recruiting, organizing camps and fundraiser events and managed student-athlete’s grades and academic achievements. In 2019 and in 2020-21, Bittner helped lead ODU to a second place finish in the GMAC.
Bittner has experience in coaching women’s club soccer, high school soccer and teaching. Bittner also played collegiate soccer for Purdue University where she was a four-year letter winner, Academic All Big-Ten and the 2017 Distinguished Scholar Athlete. She holds both her USSF and United Soccer Coaches licenses.
Bittner received a Bachelor of Arts in Education from Purdue University in 2017 and a Master of Science in Sport Management from Ohio Dominican University in 2021.
