University of the Incarnate Word Athletics

2013-14 (Freshman): Hessong started in seven games and only missed two of the 27 games this season. She lead the team in three-pointers made with 49. She also clutched 17 of 23 free-throws and averaged 6.7 points per game. Hessong had an outstanding game against Our Lady of the Lake where she scored a team high of 24 points by making 8 three-pointers.

High School:  Hessong led Corpus Christi King High School to the Regional Finals as a sophomore and to a District 28-5A championship as a junior.  She also played on the softball team.  She was a second team all-district and academic all-district selection as a junior and senior.  She made the All-South Texas Second Team as a junior.  She earned all-tournament team honors four times during her career.  She was named the Corpus Christi Caller Times Girls Basketball Player of the Week on February 10, 2012. 

Personal:  Hessong is the daughter of David and Sarah Hessong and is studying math.  She has two siblings, Christine and Andrew.
