Biography
2011-12 (Junior): Cooke earned Second Team all-Lone Star Conference honors and led the team to the finals of the LSC Tournament. She scored in double figures in each of the first six games of the season. She averaged nearly 37 minutes per game on the court for the season. She poured in 21 points at Tarleton State. She tallied a season high 23 points and drained seven three-pointers against Abilene Christian. She had 15 points and eight assists in the second game of the season against St. Edward's. She knocked down 44 three-pointers on the season and shot 83.3 percent from the foul line.
2010-11 (Sophomore): Cooke finished the year with a 10.1 points per game average (third-best on the team) and led UIW in free throw shooting at 78.3 percent. She was named Honorable Mention all-Lone Star Conference South Division. She also led the team in assists (107) and made more three-point shots (32) than anyone else on the team. She had the second-most steals on the team (36) and was a 37.4% shooter from the floor. She also earned a LSC South Division Offensive Player of the Week award. She started 24 of 26 games and reached double figures in 11 games. She had 17 points and six assists against Cameron and came back the next game with 20 points and six assists against Southwestern Oklahoma State. She had 13 points and a season-high nine assists against Abilene Christian. She finished the season with 16 points and seven assists at Texas A&M-Kingsville.
Previous: Cooke played 29 games at Tennessee Tech as a freshman. She finished second on the team with 61 assists. She averaged 1.7 points and 1.9 rebounds per game for the season. She dished out a season high seven assists at Southeast Missouri.
High School: Cooke began playing high school basketball in Kentucky as a seventh grader, tying her school record with eight 3-pointers in her first varsity game. She helped her team to a 29-2 record as an eighth grader. She scored more than 1,200 points by the time she completed her freshman year. She was named all-state honorable mention as a freshman. She moved to Texas before her sophomore year and began attending Marble Falls High School. She was the Defensive Player of the Year for the district as a sophomore. She led her team to a regional championship and appearance in the state tournament final four as a sophomore. The team made the regional championship as a junior and regional semifinal as a senior. She was district MVP, all-region, TBCA and TGBA all-state as a senior. She was named team MVP all three seasons at Marble Falls in basketball and soccer. She was one of five players she played with at Marble Falls to play NCAA Division I basketball. She was a member of the National Honor Society.
Personal: Cooke is the daughter of Harold and Donna Cooke and is studying sports management. She has a sister, Amanda and a brother, Adam. She was born on November 22, 1989.
