Biography

2024: Played 13 of the 14 games as a member of an o-line that helped UIW rush for 2665 yards and gave up the least amount of sacks in the SLC with 21.

2023 (Graduate Student): A veteran for the offensive line, Borjas was sidelined due to injury after starting six games for the Cardinals. He was named to the Phil Steele Preseason All-Southland Team third team

2022 (Senior): Borjas played in all 12 games for the Cardinals, helping the offensive line allow only 13 sacks this season for 68 tackles for loss along with 1,526 rushing yards 
2021(Junior): Borjas appeared in 9 games for the Cardinals in 2021 as an offensive lineman. 

2020 (Sophomore): (Spring 2021) Appeared in two games at McNeese on February 27 and against Sam Houston on April 17. 

2019 (Freshman): Played in four games…saw action at Sam Houston, at No. 25 Houston Baptist, against Lamar and against Northwestern State.

High School: The starting left tackle on a Vela team that went 12-0, 6-0 in district, before suffering their first loss of the season in the playoffs to Westlake…anchored an offensive line that allowed the Vela offense to gain 3,977 yards across the span of 13 games, including 1,503 rushing yards and 2,474 yards through the air…a first-team All-District selection in each of his last two seasons…second team all-district as a sophomore.
