Biography
2023-24 (Senior): Destiny Terrell led the Cardinals in rebounding her senior season, pulling down 7.2 per game. She was a problem on the offensive boards with 60 on the season. She reached a career milestone of 500-plus rebounds. Offensively, she notched a season-high 17 points at New Orleans and pulled down 13 rebounds against Southeastern Louisiana. She was named to the SLC All-Academic Second Team.
2022-23 (Junior): Led the team in rebounds with 5.5 per game, pulling down 127 on the season...played in 23 games with 21 starts after battling an injury...averaged 27 minutes per game...put up a season-high 25 points against Nicholls and 11 rebounds at New Orleans.
2021-22 (Sophomore): Started in 29 of her 30 games...led the team in rebounds with six...pulled down 19 rebounds against McNeese in the Southland Conference Tournament...was named to the Southland Conference All-Academic Team.
2020-21 (FRESHMAN): Played in 14 games with one start … averaged 21.7 minutes per game … averaged 7.9 points per game … scored in double digits in three games … held a 42.7% field-goal percentage (25th SLC, 2nd UIW) … GAME HIGHLIGHTS: Recorded a career/season-high 17 points to lead UIW against Abilene Christian (March 10) in the first round of the SLC Tournament … scored 13 points adding two assists and two rebounds against Lamar (March 1) … led the team with 14 points, one steal and two rebounds in the win against Northwestern State (Feb.10) … had first career start at Lamar (Feb. 24).
HIGH SCHOOL: Terrell plays for Mansfield Summit High School. During her senior campaign, Terrell averaged 11 points and 4.5 rebounds per game, while earning Second Team All-District, Academic All-District and making the All-Tournament Team at Hays CISD Tournament. She helped Mansfield Summit to a 23-13 overall record (9-5 district) that fell in the opening round of the 6A Regional Playoffs. As a freshman she earned Newcomer of the Year (2016-17), while earning Offensive MVP for her district as a sophomore and made First Team all-district as a junior. She averaged 13.5 points, 4.3 rebounds and 1.2 assists per game during her junior year.
