Steven Oliver comes to UIW in August 2024 after completing his time as a Graduate Assistant for the Women's Basketball team at Baldwin Wallace University in Berea, Ohio. During Coach Oliver's two years as a Yellow Jacket, he spearheaded the team's travel operations, supervised the social media and marketing team, and played an integral role in recruiting, opponent preparation, and leading practices. During this time, Baldwin Wallace posted a 44-13 record, earning two National Tournament appearances, an OAC Regular Season Title, and a Sweet Sixteen appearance in 2024.

Oliver also has experience as a student assistant coach for the men's basketball team at Geneva College in his hometown of Beaver Falls, PA. His roles included creating opponent scouting reports, charting practices, creating content for recruiting and social media, and leading the team's strength and conditioning.
