Rachel Baity joined the University of the Incarnate Word women’s basketball staff as an assistant coach in July 2022.
A native of San Jose, California, Baity comes to UIW from Sul Ross State University, where she served as the assistant women’s basketball coach and head women’s tennis coach for three years. In her position, she was responsible for post player development, scouting reports, film assessment, recruitment, and academic liaison. She also assisted in fundraising efforts and social media engagement for the program.
Baity played two seasons at Our Lady of the Lake University (San Antonio, TX) where she helped the women’s basketball team to one conference championship and two national tournament appearances. In her two years with the Saints, Baity was a Conference Scholar Athlete and NAIA Scholar Athlete.
Prior to her move to San Antonio, she played two seasons at Mission College (Santa Clara, California) from 2014-2016 where she earned second team all-state and first team all-conference honors both seasons.
Baity received her bachelor of business administration with a concentration in accounting from Our Lady of the Lake University in 2018 and a master of business administration from Sul Ross State University in 2021.
