Eric Dumas

Eric Dumas is entering his first season with the UIW women's basketball program.  He brings a wealth of Southland Conference knowledge to the program after spending 12 seasons with the Southeastern Louisiana women's basketball program where he was the associate head coach and recruiting coordinator.  He also served as the interim head coach for a time.

During his time at Southeastern, Dumas recruited and coached two first team, two second team and four third team all-Southland Conference players as well as a conference Newcomer of the Year.  The 2007 and 2009 teams each were East Division Southland Conference champions.

Dumas spent six seasons as an assistant for men's coach Brad Jones at Lambuth and served his last season at Lambuth as a women's assistant for Lori Davis Jones. Dumas was interim head coach for part of the 2001-02 season and during his tenure with the Lady Eagles, he served as recruiting coordinator and coached the post players.

The Paducah, Ky., native helped guide the Lady Eagles to a Sweet 16 berth in the 2001-02 NAIA Tournament. He also helped Lambuth men's team to the 1999 NAIA National Tournament for the first time and the Mid-South Conference Championship in 1999-2000.

Prior to entering coaching, Dumas played men’s basketball at Lambuth, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in health and human performance in 1996. At Paducah Tillman High School, Dumas played on the boy’s basketball team and was a member of the football team as a freshman.
