University of the Incarnate Word Athletics

2013-14 (Freshman):  Ward started in over half of the games as a true freshman.  A strong defensive player on the wing, she led the team with 39 steals and had four games with four steals.  She played at least 30 minutes in a game nine times during the year including a season high 36 minutes at Wiley.  She had seven points, six rebounds and three steals in a loss at Angelo State.  She had back-to-back games with five assists at the end of November.  She scored a season high nine points to go along with five rebounds, four assists and four steals in a loss against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.

High School: Ward played for Palmetto High School for coach Robert Kelly. 

Personal: Ward is the daughter of Kawanna Ward and is studying computer information systems. She has a sister, Allyson, and was born March 18, 1995.
