2017-2018 (Graduate): He appeared in 23 games and had five starts on the year. He played 22.7 minutes a game. He was second on the team with 24 three-pointers made. He averaged 7.7 points per game, had 21 assists, and 14 steals on the year. He scored a season high 19 points against Northwestern State.
2016-17 (R-Junior): Burmeister played in all 29 games and made eight starts. He shot 69 percent from the free throw line and averaged 7.7 points per game. Burmeister registered 38 assists and seven steals. He finished up the Spring Semester with a 4.0 GPA as a graduate student in Finance earning him Second Team Academic All-Conference.
2015-16 (R-Sophomore): Burmeister appeared in 22 games with 17 starts. He averaged 5.8 points and 3.1 rebounds per game. He made 15 three-pointers on the season, as he went 3-for-6 from beyond the arc against Nicholls. He scored a season-high 17 points versus Dallas Christian. He dished out 31 assists with a high of four coming twice, against Schreiner and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi. He was named to the Southland Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll.
2014-15: Burmeister red-shirted his second season at Incarnate Word. He was named to the Southland Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll.
2013-14 (Freshman): Burmeister had a strong freshman campaign for the Cardinals finishing as the team's third leading scorer with 11.0 points per game while knocking down 40.9 percent of his three-point attempts. He opened his career in grand style with a season high 22 points, including five three-pointers in a win at Northwood. He started all 26 games of the season and made at least one three-pointer in all but four contests. He scored in double figures in 16 games, including four straight to start the season. He tallied 11 points and seven rebounds in 44 minutes in an overtime win over Houston Baptist. He went for 18 points in a road win at Nicholls State. He was named to the Southland Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll.
High School: Burmeister was on the basketball team at Churchill High School for three seasons He earned Academic All-State and first team all-district honors as a senior. He averaged 16 points per game and helped lead the team to a 29-6 record as a senior.
Personal: Burmeister is the son of Ken and Brenda Burmeister and is studying marketing. He has a sister, Amanda, and was born August 19, 1995.
