2012-13:  Markolf missed the entire season with an injury and took a medical red-shirt.

2011-12 (Junior):  Markolf averaged 7.5 points and 6.1 rebounds per game while finishing fourth in the Lone Star Conference with 1.1 blocks per game.  He had three double-doubles on the season including back-to-back performances against Huston-Tillotson and at St. Edward's.  He had 14 points and 13 boards against HTU and 14 points and 11 boards at St. Ed's.  He had a season high 17 points, grabbed 11 rebounds and dished out five assists in the win over Ecclesia College.  He had four blocks in a game on three different occasions.

Previous:  Markolf played two seasons at University of Wisconsin in the Big Ten.

High School:  Markolf was a three-time all-district honoree at Churchill High School.  He was named preseason first-team all-state by Texas Basketball Magazine as a senior.  He averaged 13 points, 8.5 rebounds and 3.3 blocks per game as a junior.  He was selected first-team all-region by the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches as well as first-team all-district as a junior.  He took home first-team all-district honors as a sophomore.

Personal:  Markolf is the son of Allan and Sharon Markolf and earned a degree in finance from UIW in the 2013 and is currently pursuing an MBA in finance.  He has a brother, Sam and was born on July 27, 1989.  He once biked from Austin, TX to Anchorage, AK.
