Robby Benavides enters his first season as Director of Basketball operations and fourth season overall with the UIW men’s basketball program in 2023-24.
Benavides spent the past three seasons on staff at UIW, first as a Graduate Assistant and then as Assistant Director of Basketball Operations, where he was primarily responsible for coordinating video, helping with individual player development, and day-to-day program operations.
Prior to coming to UIW, Benavides played collegiately at St. Mary’s University for five seasons. A San Antonio native, he earned a bachelor’s degree in sport and exercise science from St. Mary’s and a master’s in sports management from UIW.
