University of the Incarnate Word Athletics

Carlito Labarda joins the University of the Incarnate Word from Eastern Oregon University. Labarda was the head men's basketball coach for the Mountaineers from 2017-2021. 

Prior to UIW Labarda was the associate head coach at Carroll College with Dr. Carson Cunningham from 2013-2017.

Prior to Carroll College, he was a JUCO assistant coach in California at El Camino College and LA Harbor College from 2008-2012. 

Labarda was also the head coach at Saint Antony’s HS in Long Beach, CA. and Lakes HS in Lakewood, WA. 

Prior to Saint Antony HS, Labarda was a student assistant coach from 1998-99 and a student manager from 1994-1998 at Purdue University.  

Labarda graduated from Purdue University and is originally from San Pedro, CA.
