Biography

2017-2018 (RS Freshman): He played in all 25 games with two as a starter ... averaged 16.1 minutes per game ... scored 8.2 points per game, and averaged 3.7 rebounds a game ... scored 20 plus points twice on the year, and had a career-high 24 points against Central Arkansas. 

2016-17: Peevy saw limited action in his first season as a Cardinal ... collected four rebounds.

High School: Led Mount Carmel High School to a Chicago Catholic League South Division title and a 24-8 record as a senior ... averaged 17 points and seven rebounds during the season and earned Chicago Sun-Times All-City Second Team honors following a year in which he missed the final six weeks of the season with an injury. Mount Carmel is the same high school that produced former NBA star Antoine Walker. During his senior season, Peevy earned numerous accolades including: Lane Tech Thanksgiving Tournament all-tournament team; Chicago Catholic League South Player of the Year, all-Chicago Catholic League South; All-Area third team; Illinois Basketball Coaches Association 3A/4A All-State third team; Chicago Catholic League All-Star team; IBCA All-State All-Star team and Mount Carmel Student of the Month for November.

Personal: Peevy is the son of Pamela and Arthur Peevy and is majoring in sport management. He has one sister, Ariel. He was born on May 20, 1998.

Coach Cunningham says: "Christian has shown real promise as a student and basketball player this summer. His first hop catches attention; his second hop is even more eye-popping. And he continues to get stronger. Cardinal fans should enjoy  watching him progress as a sophomore."
