Biography

2016: Played in all 11 games. His 47 total tackles were the fifth-highest on the team, garnering 25 solo and 22 assisted. He had 5.5 tackles for loss for 26 yards, tied for a team best. He also posted one sack for 11 yards, the biggest sack for the team on the season. McCoy forced one fumble.

2015 (Freshman):  McCoy played in all 11 games mostly in nickel coverage.  He recorded a pass breakup at Sam Houston State.  He had three tackles, including a tackle for loss at Southeastern Louisiana.  He was named to the Southland Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll.

2014:  McCoy red-shirted his first year at UIW.

High School:  McCoy is a two-star recruit out of Harmony High School who was also on the golf and track teams.  He led the Eagles with 107 tackles as a senior and added 14 receptions for 381 yards and five touchdowns.  He earned first team all-district, Second Team All-East Texas and Second Team All-State honors as a senior.  He accumulated 99 tackles as a junior. 

Personal:  McCoy is the son of Tim and Chani McCoy and is studying business management.  He has two siblings, Chelbi and Steffan.
