2014 (Junior): Giebler was a team captain and had an outstanding season where he earned a number of honors. He was named to the Capital One Academic All-District VII first team and the Southland Conference All-Academic teams and earned Southland honorable mention honors. He led the team with a career high 76 tackles and had three games with double-digit stops. He notched 11 tackles against national champion North Dakota State and at Northwestern State. He had five tackles, two tackles for loss and a sack against McNeese State. He had an unbelievable performance at Lamar with 13 tackles and an interception. He finished the season ranked in the top 10 in school history in career tackles. He was named to the Southland Commissioner's Honor Roll.
2013 (Sophomore): Giebler started every game at inside linebacker for the Cardinals. He had his only tackle for loss of the season at #5 Sam Houston State. He had six tackles in a win over Eastern New Mexico. He averaged 5.0 tackles per game over the final five games of the season. He had a season high nine tackles and broke up a pass against Angelo State. He finished the year with 38 tackles.
2012 (Freshman): Giebler played in every game and made five starts on the season at linebacker as a true freshman, including the final four games of the year. He had at least one tackle in every game including a season high nine at Texas A&M-Kingsville. He recorded his first career sack in the season opener against Texas College. He had seven tackles and a 28-yard interception return against McMurry. He finished the year with three tackles for loss and 43 tackles. He was named to the LSC Commissioner's Honor Roll.
High School: Giebler was a member of the football, basketball and track teams at Stephenville High School. As a sophomore, he earned second team all-district and first team academic all-district honors. After his junior year he was recognized with first team all-district and academic all-district honors. He was named the District Defensive Player of the Year and Second Team All-Big Country as a senior.
Personal: Giebler is the son of Scott and Marka Giebler and is studying engineering management. He has one sibling, Prayr, and was born on September 17, 1992. He is the president of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes at UIW.
