Biography

2016: Played in seven games, where he posted three solo tackles. He also had one tackle for a loss for two yards and one quarterback hurry.

2015 (Freshman):  McMeans appeared in eight games on special teams and as a backup linebacker.  He had three of his four tackles in the season finale at Houston Baptist.  He was named to the Southland Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll.

High School:  McMeans was a member of the football, basketball and track teams at La Vernia High School.  He was named to the Express-News Sub-6A first team defense as a senior.  He recorded 63 tackles, 14 tackles for loss and 11 sacks in 2014 and was named the District 15-4A Defensive Line MVP and he was an AP Class 4A Honorable Mention All-State selection.  He was also the South Texas Defensive Player of the Year.  He took home all-district honors as an outside linebacker as a junior.  He led La Vernia to the State semifinals in 2014.

Personal:  McMeans is the son of Bruce and Lisa McMeans and undecided on his field of study.  He has a sister, Chelsea who played basketball at Lipscomb.  He was born on May 27, 1997.
