2012 (Junior):  Tate started all 11 games at nose tackle and defensive tackle.  He had another productive season with 25 tackles.  He had three tackles and his first sack of the season at Midwestern State.  He added six tackles and a half sack in the win over Texas A&M-Commerce.  He registered at least one tackle in all but one game.

2011 (Sophomore):  Tate played in nine games on the interior defensive line.  He had two tackles and a tackle for loss against Eastern New Mexico.  He had a season high three tackles against Midwestern State and Angelo State.  He finished the year with 13 tackles.

2010 (Freshman):  Tate made 12 tackles his first year with UIW.  He had a half tackle for loss in his first game against Langston.  He had a season high four tackles at Angelo State.

High School:  Tate earned first team all-district honors as a senior at Alief Elsik High School.  He was a two-time team MVP.

Personal:  Tate is the son of Darryl and Sheila Tate and is studying engineering management.  He has three siblings; Faith, Yasmin and Darryl.  He was born on November 19, 1991.
