Biography

2015 (Junior):  The leader of the offensive line, McCarthy started every game and makes all the line calls.  He returned from injury and has been a key part of a team that has two winning seasons in his last two years on the field.  He was named to the Southland Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll.

2014: McCarthy suffered a pre-season injury that kept him out all season long.  He was a College Sports Madness Preseason Southland third team selection.  He was named to the Southland Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll.

2013 (Sophomore):  McCarthy started all season long at center for the Cardinals.  As the signal caller on the offensive line, he played a critical role in the team's success.  The team set school records for rushing yards, rushing touchdowns and average yards per rush.  In addition, the team also set a school record for passing yards in a season.

2012 (Freshman):  McCarthy appeared in six games at center for the Cardinals.  He was one of the first offensive line subs as a true freshman.

High School:  McCarthy led Reagan High School to the most wins in school history.  He earned first team all-Area and first team all-district honors as a senior.  He was on the baseball, basketball, wrestling and golf teams as well.

Personal:  McCarthy is the son of Steve and Jessica McCarthy and is studying business administration with a minor in marketing.  He has a sister, Katelyn, and was born on November 19, 1993.
