Biography

2011 (Sophomore):  Garza played six games with the majority of his time on the field coming in special teams.  He picked up a blocked punt and scored a touchdown at Texas A&M-Commerce.  He blocked a punt against Texas A&M-Kingsville that led to a touchdown.  He was named to the LSC Commissioner's Honor Roll.

2010 (Freshman):  Garza was a special teams player appearing in seven games.  He blocked a punt in his first game against Langston.  He returned 11 kicks for 178 yards for the season.  He had two kick returns for 51 yards against Abilene Christian.

High School:  Garza played football and baseball at Calallen High School.  He was a three-time Corpus Christi Caller Times All-Metro and All-South Texas First Team wide receiver.  He helped lead Calallen to the 2008 4A State Championship in baseball.  He was a TSWA All-State second baseman as a senior and was named to the Caller Times All-Metro and All-South Texas First Teams.

Personal:  Garza is the son of Leonard and Yvonne Garza and is studying business administration.  He has a sister, Jessica, and was born on January 12, 1991.
