Saw action in one game for the Cardinals... registered two tackles and one tackle for loss against Faulkner University (10/22).

Played at Stevens High School under Roger Landeros… had a major role in helping team make significant playoff runs in both 2019 and 2020 by averaging 6.8 tackles a game with a total of 54 tackles during senior season… was selected First Team All-District and Second-Team Academics.

Parents are Jennifer and Fernando Gonzalez… has three brothers, Fernando Jr., Mason, and Nate, who played football at Texas Lutheran University… chose UIW because it was closer to family and would give opportunities to continue to excel on both the field and in the classroom… planning to major in nuclear medicine.
