Biography

2011 (Junior):  Hierholzer started nine games on the season and missed one.  The unit allowed only 13 sacks on the season despite throwing 331 passes.
 
2010 (Sophomore):  Hierholzer started all 11 games for an offensive line that paved the way for a school record 153 rushing yards per game.  Running back Trent Rios set the school record with 888 yards rushing.
 
2009 (Freshman):  Hierholzer was a starter from Day 1 on the offensive line for all 10 games.  The offense averaged over 29 points per game and proved to be the most prolific unit in school history.
 
High School:  Hierholzer played four sports at Karnes City High School.  He was a four-time academic all-district selection in both football and basketball.  As a senior, he was named academic all-state and was a unanimous choice on the all-district team.  He was the 2008 Male Athlete of the Year at Karnes City and was a member of the National Honor Society.  He earned all-Area honors on the offensive line and was a two-time team MVP in basketball.
 
Personal:  Hierholzer is the son of Wayne and Charlene Hierholzer and is studying kinesiology.  He has three siblings, Joi, Jodi and Jacob and he was born on October 18, 1990.
