High School:  Salas played offensive line at Roosevelt High School.  He was named First Team All-District 26-5A, Second Team All-Area and Second Team Academic All-State honors.  He was a Fox Scholar-Athlete of the Week.

Personal:  Salas is the son of Emma Salas and is studying psychology.  He was born on April 30, 1991.
