Nick Young

Nick Young joined the University of the Incarnate Word football program in 2022 and currently serves as the Co-Offensive Coordinator and Offensive Line Coach. He brings over a decade of experience across all levels of college football, including FBS, FCS, DII, DIII, NAIA, and JUCO.

Since arriving at UIW, Young has been instrumental in building one of the top offenses in the nation. In 2024, he helped the Cardinals to a Southland Conference Championship and a trip to the NCAA FCS Quarterfinals, with the offense ranking eighth nationally in total yards. During that season starting Tight End Logan Compton was named First Team All-Conference by multiple publications after breaking the school record for touchdowns by a Tight End in a season. Reserve Tight End Jackson Lowe was named Fourth Team All-Southland by Phil Steele. The offensive units during his time on staff have consistently been among the most productive in the country, including a stints ranked number two in total offense and passing offense in the FCS in 2023.

Before UIW, Young held coaching roles at Northwood University, Clarke University, Bowling Green State University, ASA College (Miami), and the University of Toledo. His coaching background includes extensive experience coordinating run and pass game schemes, player development, and recruiting operations. He has also coached multiple all-conference players and contributed to top-25 national rankings in offensive performance.

Young played college football as an offensive lineman at Olivet College.
