University of the Incarnate Word Athletics

Cervantes is entering his second season with UIW as an assistant, primarily working the defensive backs and special teams.  He is working on a Master of Science in kinesiology.

Cervantes is heavily involved in day-to-day practice prep, as well as all opponent video breakdowns for the defense.  Additional responsibilities include recruiting, assisting the equipment manager, organization/registration of summer camps, and various administrative duties.

He is a native of San Antonio and played football under head coach Willie Hall at Brackenridge High School.  He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in kinesiology, with a minor in education from the University of Texas at Austin in 2011.
