2012 (Junior):  Barron started the first four games of the year and played in 10 games.  He had his best game of the year at Sam Houston State when he made five tackles, broke up a pass and had an interception return for 20 yards.  He had four tackles against Eastern New Mexico, Texas A&M-Commerce and Tarleton State.

2011 (Sophomore): Barron played in seven games for the Cardinals.  He recorded seven tackles including a tackle for loss and forced a fumble at Lamar.  He added four tackles against Texas A&M-Kingsville.  He finished the year with 16 total tackles. 

High School:  Barron competed in football, basketball and track at Texas City High School.  He earned first team all-district honors as a senior and was a second team selection as a junior.

Personal:  Barron is the son of Tammy Barron and is studying sports management.  He was born on May 12, 1990.
