University of the Incarnate Word Athletics

2011 (Junior):  Segura posted a perfect 4.00 GPA during the 2011-12 school year.  He earned First Team Capital One Academic All-District VI and all-Lone Star Conference Academic Team honors.  He was named to the LSC Commissioner’s Honor Roll.  He started every game of the season on the offensive line.  He was part of a unit that averaged over 300 yards per game and gave up only 13 sacks on the season.
 
2010 (Sophomore):  Segura earned Academic All-LSC honors and started all 11 games.  He was part of an offensive line that paved the way for Trent Rios to rush for a school record 888 yards.  Overall, the offense averaged 153 yards rushing per game.  He was named Incarnate Word’s Student-Athlete of the Year.
 
2009 (Freshman):  Segura started all 10 games on the offensive line as a freshman.  The offense averaged 29 points per game and over 300 yards per game while allowing only 12 sacks on the season.
 
Previous:  Segura originally signed with Midwestern State out of high school, but red-shirted his lone season.
 
High School:  Segura was named the District 29-4A Most Valuable Player as a senior at McCollum High School.
 
Personal:  Segura is studying accounting and was born on December 8, 1988.
