Biography

2011 (Junior):  Kocian missed a pair of games, but was used frequently in two tight end situations.  He had a career performance against #22 Midwestern State when he had nine catches for 86 yards and a touchdown.  He finished the year with 12 catches for 114 yards.  He was named to the LSC Commissioner’s Honor Roll.
 
2010 (Sophomore):  Kocian played in all 11 games, but was used more as a blocker than a receiving target.  He had two catches for 23 yards at Angelo State.  He finished the season with five receptions for 52 yards.  He also contributed six tackles on special teams.
 
2009 (Freshman):  Kocian saw action in nine games and finished the year with eight receptions.  He scored his first career touchdown in an overtime win at Oklahoma Panhandle State.  He opened the season with a pair of catches for 30 yards in a win over Monterrey Tech.
 
High School:  Kocian played baseball and football at Converse Judson High School.  He earned all-district and all-area honors as a senior and graduated in the top 10 percent of his class.  He was an officer in the National Honor Society.
 
Personal:  Kocian is the son of Artie and Dina Kocian and is studying international business.  He has a brother, Quinten.  He was born on June 10, 1990.
