University of the Incarnate Word Athletics

2011:  Furtado red-shirted his second year at Incarnate Word.

2010 (Freshman):  Furtado appeared in eight games at running back and on special teams.  He returned four kicks for 88 yards against Texas A&M-Kingsville.  He carried the ball nine times for 21 yards and had seven kick returns for 131 on the season.

High School:  Furtado played football and ran on the track team at Damien Memorial School.  He was named to the All-Oahu Interscholastic Association Red Conference West Division Team.  He was the OC16 Impact Player and earned Second Team ILH honors.

Personal:  Furtado is the son of Paul and Carol Furtado and is studying medicine.  He has three brothers; Brandon, Blake and Blaine and was born on June 13, 1992.  Blaine is also on the Incarnate Word football team
