University of the Incarnate Word Athletics

2016: Competed in all 11 games. He registered 30 tackles (13 solo, 17 assisted). He had a season-best seven tackles, a forced fumble, and a fumble recovery in the Cardinals’ win at Lamar. He had a sack at Texas State that was for 13 yards. He finished the season with 1.5 sacks for 15 yards. He also had one quarterback hurry and a pass breakup. He was named to the SLC Commissioner’s Honor Roll with a 4.0 GPA in the Fall 2016 semester.

2015 (Freshman):  Klumpp worked his way into the starting lineup making four starts while playing in all 11 games.  He had a half tackle for loss against Texas A&M-Kingsville, at UTEP and versus Northwestern State.  He tallied five tackles and a tackle for loss at Sam Houston State.  He recovered a fumble in the win at Southeastern Louisiana.  He was named to the Southland Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll.

2013-14:  Klumpp red-shirted his first year at Incarnate Word and missed his second year with an injury.  He was named to the Southland Commissioner's Honor Roll in 2014.

High School:  Klumpp was on the football and baseball teams at Alamo Heights High School.  He earned first team all-district honors in 2010 and 2012 and was a second team selection in 2011.  He was a three-time Academic All-District choice and earned second team All-Area honors as a senior.  He helped lead Alamo Heights to a pair of district titles and three playoff appearances.  He was also a three-time all-district baseball player.  He earned Third Team All-State honors as a catcher after hitting .489 as a junior.  He was named to the AAU Baseball National Championship All-Tournament Team.  During his senior year he hit .344 and led the team with 27 RBI's.  He was an Eagle Scout and co-editor of the Hoffprint School Newspaper.   He was a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Young Life.

Personal:  Klumpp is the son of Billy and Cathy Klumpp and is studying business administration.  He has two siblings, Morgan and Parker.  He was born on November 3, 1994.  He has been a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars and on the Dean's List each of his first two years at UIW.  He is a volunteer with the Alamo Heights Little League.
