Biography

2015 (Junior):  Norwood started all 11 games for the first time in his career.  He recorded at least four tackles in nine games.  He made six stops, picked off two passes and had another pass breakup in the win over Nicholls.  He had seven tackles, including a tackle for loss at UTEP.  He contributed seven tackles at Stephen F. Austin and a season high eight tackles at Southeastern Louisiana.  He finished the year tied for fourth on the squad with 56 tackles.

2014 (Sophomore):  Norwood bounced back from a season-ending injury as a freshman to play all 11 games and make seven starts at safety.  He recorded at least five tackles in each of the last six games of the season.  He opened the year with an interception against Sacramento State.  He made eight tackles, including a tackle for loss and had a pass breakup against Houston Baptist.  He posted a season high nine tackles with two tackles for loss at Northwestern State.  He recorded six stops and had a 26-yard interception return against Sam Houston State.  He led the team in interceptions and was one of the top tacklers on the squad with 62 stops.

2013 (Freshman):  Norwood was among the team leaders in tackles before suffering a season-ending inury at Southeastern Louisiana.  He started all six games he played in.  He had four tackles in the season opener at #6 Central Arkansas.  He recorded his first interception in a shutout of Texas College and returned it 34 yards.  He had five tackles and a half tackle for loss in a shutout of Langston.  He made seven stops at #5 Sam Houston State and at home against Eastern New Mexico.  He made 25 tackles on the season.

High School:  Norwood was on the football and baseball teams at Waco High School.  He was named the Super Cen-Tex Defensive Player of the Year as a senior after recording 101 tackles, four interceptions, 12 pass breakups, two forced fumbles and two blocked field goals.  He also returned a punt and a kickoff for a touchdown during the season.  He earned First Team All-District 8-4A, Super Cen-Tex and ESPN All-Star team honors.  He was named to the Academic All-State Team in 2012.  Ge earned First Team All-State, All-District 8-4A, Super Cen-Tex and ESPN All-Central Texas honors as a junior.  He had 42 solo tackles, eight interceptions and four pass breakups in 2011.  He was a first team all-district safety as a sophomore.  He helped lead Waco to three straight playoff appearances, including a regional final spot as a senior.  He was a member of LEAD and Fellowship of Christian Athletes. 

Personal:  Norwood is the son of Adrian and Stacy Norwood and studying marketing with a minor in management.  He has a brother, Adairius and a sister, Adair who are twins.  He was born on September 27, 1994.
