2017 (Freshman): He played in 18 games with 7 starts. He had a .323 BA, 10 hits, 8 RBI's and .353 OB%. He had a 1.000 fielding percentage. He was named to the SLC Commissioner's Honor Roll with a 3.66 GPA.

High School:  Swyers was on the football and baseball teams at Kerrville Tivy High School.  He earned all-district honors all four years taking home an honorable mention, two second team and one first team distinction.  He was a Texas Sports Writers honorable mention All-State pick as a senior.  He earned Second Team Academic All-State honors as well.  He played for the South Texas Sliders.

Personal:  Swyers is the son of Andy and Maggy Swyers and is studying Accounting.  He was born on February 9, 1997.  His great grandfather was on the football, track and basketball teams at Kansas State.
