Biography

2021 (Senior): Had a 2-1 record in 18 appearances…second on the team with a 3.90 ERA in 30 innings…allowed just 13 earned runs while striking out 23 batters…held opponents to a .284 batting average…had a season-high six strikeouts against Texas Southern on Feb. 27.

2020 (Junior): Appeared in eight games as a reliever...season ended March 13 due to COVID-19.

2019 (Sophomore): Appeared in a team-high 25 games…recorded 19 strikeouts in 18.1 innings pitched…held opponents to a .289 batting average…led the team with 25 games pitched in relief.

2018 (Freshman): Appeared in 10 games…had 5 strikeouts in 5.2 innings pitched.

High School:  Played at Antonian College Preparatory...earned second-team All-American honors in 2017 by the Collegiate Baseball newspaper…named first-team All-State in 2016 and 2017. 

Personal: The son of Mike and Letty McElmeel…has a sister, Katherine…a finance major…born September 14, 1998.
