2022 (Senior): Selected to the SLC All-Conference Third Team. Garza was the Friday night pitcher, starting 13 games for the Cardinals, leading the Southland Conference in batters struck out with 81 and was runner up for batters struck out looking (21). Garza pitched 73 innings, allowing 47 earned runs to go 5-5 on the season. Earned SLC pitcher of the week honors.

2021 (Junior): Made 19 appearances with eight starts…went 3-4 with one complete game and a team-high six saves in 61.1 innings…led the team with 59 strikeouts…struck out a season-high 10 batters in seven innings against Northwestern State on March 13…SLC Commissioner’s Honor Roll recipient.

2020 (Sophomore): Appeared in eight games, three as starting pitcher with 23 strikeouts...season ended March 13 due to COVID-19.

2019 (Freshman): Appeared in 10 games on the mound…recorded 16 strikeouts in 19 innings pitched… recorded three strikeouts in two innings pitched on April 9 against Prairie View A&M…played in 14 games with six starts in the outfield…recorded six hits, one run and two RBIs for a .273 batting average.

High School: Attended Carroll High School…earned first-team All-District and first-team All-South Texas in 2016…named second-team All-District in 2017. 
 
Personal: The son of Micky and Melissa Garza…has two brothers, Matthew and Myles, and one sister Mikayla…a business major…born February 23, 2000.
