2021 (Graduate Student): Appeared in 30 games in the outfield…held a .236 batting average and .382 slugging percentage…collected 13 hits with nine RBIs and eight runs scored…went 3-for-4 in stolen base attempts…SLC Commissioner’s Honor Roll recipient.

2020 (Senior): Appeared and started in all 16 games... had 18 hits, two doubles, two triples, and 10 RBIs... season ended March 13 due to the COVID-19.

Previous: Played three seasons at Houston…made 11 starts in 25 games as a freshman, 31 starts in 51 games as a sophomore and one start in 19 games as a junior…was a .229 career hitter with 38 hits, added two doubles, three triple and four home runs in three seasons…added 21 RBIs, 38 runs scored and 11 stolen bases.

High School: Was a three-year letterwinner for Clear Creek High School…Named to the All-State Team all three-years…Led the district with a team record in RBI…Helped team to three District titles, two Area titles and to the Regional finals.
 
Personal: The son of Derrick and Amy Etzel…has one sister, Allie, and one brother, Matthew…brother plays baseball at Texas A&M…studying for his M.S. in accounting….born August 18, 1997.
