Previous:  Martinez spent two years at Texas Lutheran.

High School:  Martinez was a two-time all-district infielder at Steves High School.  He helped lead the team to three playoff appearances.

Personal:  Martinez is the son of Tony Martinez and Yvonne Salazar and is studying biochemistry.  He has two siblings, Joey and Jourdan.  He was born on December 28, 1991.
