University of the Incarnate Word Athletics

2014 (Junior):  Besett was the team's #1 catcher starting 34 games behind the plate and only had three errors and two passed balls.  He doubled and drove in two runs against LIU-Brooklyn.  He drove in a season high four runs at Abilene Christian and then went 3-for-5 in the next game against ACU.  He had two hits in a game at Baylor.  He was named to the Southland Commissioner's Honor Roll.

Previous:  Besett played two seasons for Navarro College and helped lead the team to an NJCAA World Series appearance in 2013.  He was named to an all-star team in 2012.  He graduate with a 4.0 GPA.

High School: Besett played baseball at Vista Ridge High School where he earned first team All-District Honors in 2010-11 and 3rd team All-State Honors in 2011. His team made it to the third round of the playoffs in 2011. 

Personal: Besett is the son of Bob and Sally Besett and has a brother called Cooper and a sister called Rayanna. He is studying biology and was born on February 9, 1993.
