University of the Incarnate Word Athletics

2022 (Junior): David was 3-2 on the season with five saves through 55 innings pitched. He allowed 32 earned runs while striking out 59 batters. He held a .251 opposing batting average. He appeared in 22 games for the Cardinals while starting five.

Previous: David attended Murray State College his freshman year then transferred to Odessa College his sophomore year where he earned an associate degree in General Studies in 2021…while at Odessa College David achieved First Team All-Conference 2021 WCJAC…the seasons stats were 7 wins, 62 IP, 3.92 ERA, 87 SO.
 
High School: Attended Van Alstyne High School…he won First Team Texas All State pitcher 3A and graduated in 2019.
 
Personal: Son to Stepheni Newton, Jonathan Newton, and Danny David…majoring in Business Administration…Born on October 3, 2000, in Lawton, Oklahoma.
