2021 Fan Information for NCAA Playoff Game- Round 2

UIW has released the following information for fans planning to attend the NCAA Football Playoff Second Round. This game features the UIW Cardinals versus Sam Houston State University on Saturday, Dec. 4. Kickoff is set for 2 p.m. CST at Elliott T. Bowers Stadium in Huntsville, Texas.
 
GAME PREVIEW
Saturday's game is between UIW (10-2) and undefeated Sam Houston. If the Cardinals win, they will face the winner of UT Martin and Montana State in the quarterfinals.

TICKETS, GATES, SECTIONS
Tickets are on sale through NCAA.com/tickets. General Admission tickets are $15. The ticket office is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. for advance ticket sales at 936-294-1729.
 
The visiting team will be seated in Section O. Cardinals fans may enter through Gate 1 or 5.
 
The SHSU Box Office is located in the West Box Office of Bowers Stadium and will open at 10 a.m. for walk-up sales on gameday.
 
The player pass list will be located at Gate 5

Faculty and Staff Bus
Faculty and Staff are invited to travel for free via coach bus from San Antonio to Huntsville to watch UIW take on the Bearkats. The trip includes a seat on the bus and a ticket to the game. Click here to sign up. There are 54 seats available on a first come, first served basis.
 
The bus departs the McDermott Convocation Center at 8 a.m. and will return directly after the conclusion of the game. Buses begin loading at 7:30 a.m. Approximate return time is 10 p.m. No food or drinks will be allowed on the bus. Masks are required to be worn at all times during the ride to and from the game.

Student Bus
UIW Athletic Director Richard Duran invites students on a FREE bus trip to Huntsville to watch the team play. The trip includes a seat on the bus, complimentary lunch and dinner, and a free ticket to the game with a valid UIW student ID. RSVP here to participate. There are 53 seats available on a first come, first served basis.

PARKING
All parking on the Sam Houston campus (excluding the parking garage) are available for game day parking at no cost. The parking lot immediately in front of the Ron Mafrige field house and the lot at Don Sanders Stadium are closed on game day. The main parking lot at Bowers Stadium is for pass parking only. General Public Parking
Fans are encouraged to arrive early. Free campus public parking is available between the intramural fields and Johnson Coliseum. Parking along the streets will not be permitted and will be subject to towing. Vehicles parked in the median on Bearkat Boulevard will be towed.
 
ADA Parking
Disability parking with a state-issued hang tag is available in the west parking lot on the press box side of the stadium. Please contact the ticket office for other request or questions.

TAILGATING 
Tailgates for visiting fans are free of charge and may take place in Lot Zone 2-2 on a first come, first served basis.
 
WATCH & LISTEN  
 
VIEWING PARTY: CARDINAL TAKEOVER AT SMOKE BBQ+SKYBAR
UIW is hosting an official “Cardinal Takeover” as we watch the game at Smoke BBQ+Skybar located at 501 E Crockett, San Antonio. The event will begin at 1 p.m. Join us for free food and drink tickets while supplies last. Additional food and drink specials will be available. All fans in attendance will have the opportunity to win an Eric Morris signed UIW Football Helmet!

Students, faculty and staff can take a free shuttle to and from the UIW campus to Smoke BBQ + Skybar. Pickup locations are at the shuttle stop outside Joeris Residence Hall and at the front of campus, in the administration building parking lot.
