2024: Sanders tied for the second most interceptions in the Southland Conference with three on season. He made 77 total tackles, 40 solo and 37 assists, along with 6.5 tackles for loss. Was named to the All-Conference First Team.

2023: Sanders saw action in eight games for the Cardinals, totaling 10 tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss and one quarterback hurry. On his 1.5 TFLs, he added nine yards. 

2022: Sanders, a leader for the Cardinal defense in 2022, played in 13 games recording 21 tackles, 5 TFLs, 2 Sacks, and 1 PD. His best performance came against Houston Christian on November 5, where he recorded 3 tackles, 2 TFLs and a sack. He also had 4 tackles and a TFL against Sacramento State, in the NCAA Quarterfinals 

2021: Sanders appeared in 12 games for UIW in 2021. He would finish the season with 11 tackles and 2 interceptions. He would record 4 tackles and 1 interception, which was returned for 48 yards, against Prairie View A&M on September 11.

High School
Played on both sides of the ball at Tascosa HS in Amarillo, Texas… as a junior, played in 14 games and amassed 495 all-purpose yards… scored six touchdowns as a RB… amassed seven tackles with 2.0 tackles for loss and 1.0 sacks… had one interception for 13 yards.
