2021: Culp appeared in all 13 games for UIW this past season, while finishing second on the team in total tackles (108). Culp was responsible for five 10+ tackle games throughout the season, while also recording one interception and three pass-break ups. He had a season high fifteen tackles against Nicholls University on November 13. He also had an 11-tackle outing against Houston Baptist University which also included a 5-yard tackle for loss and a forced fumble.
2020 (Freshman): (Spring 2021) Did not play.
High School: Played for Parish Episcopal School under Daniel Novakov in Dallas… was a leader on the team, being selected as captain and leadership captain… as a senior, helped team win a state championship… was first team all-district as a safety and wide receiver… selected first team all-state at safety and MVP of TAPPS 1-2… amassed 66 tackles (20 unassisted and 46 assisted) with four tackles for loss… grabbed one interception and returned it 79 yards… had five pass breakups, one fumble recovery and one forced fumble… blocked two field goals… had five kickoff returns for 198 yards and eight punt returns for 89 yards… offensively, had 36 receptions for 594 yards and six touchdowns…rushed for 102 yards and a touchdown on 21 carries… as a junior, guided team to state semifinals… was first team all-district at running back and safety…named honorable mention all-state at running back and safety… earned special teams district player of the year… recorded 112 tackles, one sack and 14 pass breakups…forced a fumble, recovered a fumble and snagged an interception as a junior… offensively, recorded 371 yards on 51 rushing attempts, contributing two rushing touchdowns…had one reception for three yards…as a sophomore, had 121 tackles, three forced fumbles and one interception…recorded 48 tackles and one forced fumble as a freshman.
Personal: Parents are Gayla and Lonnie Culp… the youngest of eight siblings… started playing football at seven years old… chose UIW because he “wanted to be close to home but it also feels like home”… plans to major in management information systems (MIS) because he’s interested in computers and information management.
