2021: Ferrel appeared in all 13 games for the Cardinals this past season. He finished second on the team in receptions (74) and yards (815) along with 9 receiving touchdowns. He also found great success on special teams, accounting for over 150 return yards on the season, including an 81-yard return against Stephen F. Austin University on November 27. Ferrel had 3 games of 10+ receptions, highlighted by a strong stat line of 10-132-2 against Texas St and 14-100-1 against Stephen F. Austin. Ferrel had a season high 202 all purpose yards against Stephen F. Austin University. Ferrel concluded the season with 2 consecutive multi-touchdown games. 
 
A psychology major with minors in sociology and biology, Ferrel was named to the Southland Conference All-Academic team this past season maintaining a 3.07 GPA. Additionally, Ferrel was named to the Southland Conference 1^st-team as a kick returner and 2^nd-team wide receiver. 

2020 (Junior): (Spring 2021)  Appeared in all six games and led the team in receptions, yards and touchdowns. Finished the season with 35 catches, 474 yards, and six touchdowns...his six touchdowns tied the school record for most in a single season...also scored one rushing touchdown against Northwestern State on April 10...returned six punts for 91 yards, including a 60-yard return against Northwestern State...also returned five kickoffs for 120 yards...named to the 2021 Southland All-Conference second-team.
