University of the Incarnate Word Athletics

2020-21 (Freshman): Appeared in 11 games, logging 68 minutes and 21 points in his first season to help the Cardinals reach the Southland Conference Tournament for the first time in program history…scored a season-best eight points at New Orleans on Jan. 9…recorded a season-high five rebounds in back-to-back games against McMurry and at Northwestern State on Jan. 1 and Jan. 6, respectively.
 
High School: Won two Greece championships in 2018 and 2019 as a member of the Olympiacos Basketball Club where he helped win third place in the Euro league Adidas Next Generation Tournament…Greece championship runner up in 2017…played on the U16 and U18 Greek National Teams.
 
Personal: The son of Nikolas Zevgaras and Xanthi Mavroudi of Karditsa, Greece…has three siblings, Marianthi, Ioannis and Dimitris… a kinesiology major.

Coach Cunningham says: “We are pumped to welcome Thomas to Incarnate Word. The budding scholar with a 6-foot, 9-inch frame and strong build won back-to-back youth championships with the famed Olympiacos club in Greece. He plays with passion and has a nice feel for the flow of the game."
