2019 (Freshman): Started in 25 games… recorded 26 hits, 15 runs and 23 RBI for a .310 batting average… amassed four doubles and three home runs for a .464 slugging percentage… had eight walks for a .419 on-base percentage… recorded eight stolen bases… recorded seven two-hit games… amassed two two-RBI games, one three-RBI game, one four-RBI game and a five-RBI game… had a 2-for-4 outing with a run, five RBI and a double on Feb. 16 against Hofstra… amassed three RBI and hit the three-run home run that led the Cardinals to a 6-5 win over Texas A&M on Feb. 27.

High School: Attended Champion High School. Earned second team all-academic.
 
Personal: Thompson was born on August 31, 2000, and is studying sports medicine. He is the son of Lisa and Samuel, and has two brothers, Sean and Jeremy.
